YOLENE COPPIN APPOINTED GROUP EXECUTIVE
VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES

 

Paris, April 1, 2008 - Rhodia today announced the appointment of Yolène Coppin as Group Executive Vice President, Human Resources. She will be a member of the General Management Committee.

She succeeds Bernard Chambon, who will remain a member of the General Management Committee and continue to supervise the regions and serve as Group Executive Vice President, Communication and Sustainable Development.

Ms. Coppin will report to Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rhodia.

After her studies at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and in human resources management, Yolène Coppin began her career in 1981 at the Danone Group,where until 1990, she held a variety of positions in human resources.In 1990, she was appointed Vice President, Human Resources for Amora, then for Brasseries Kronenbourg in 1994. In 1997, she began her international career as Vice President, Human Resources, Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore, before moving to Miami in 2000 to create the position of Executive Vice President, Human Resources, the Americas to coordinate HR processes between North and Latin America.In 2002, she returned to Danone headquarters as Vice President, Executive Recruitment and Development.In late 2004, she returned to Asia, to manage the relocation of Danone’s regional headquarters from Singapore to Shanghai and coordinate human resources management across the Asia-Pacific region.Returning to Paris, her responsibilities were broadened in January 2008, when she was appointed Vice President, Human Resources, Asia-Pacific, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Middle East.
